The above visual is an image found within week two required reading “Graphic Design a History”, by Stephen Eskilon. The image is a detailed drawing of the Alhambra, an ornate palace in Spain, and was created by architect, designer, theorist and artist Owen Jones during the 1800s. I found this image to be quite compelling, as it illustrates the palaces decorative ornaments through captivating and intricate geometric patterns and shapes.
